NIA Region XI – With its continued support to the farmers through the Irrigators Associations, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region XI successfully held the 11th NIA-IA Forum on August 30, 2022, at Davao del Norte Gym, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, with a theme, “Kaseguruhan sa Pagkain ng Sambayanan, Bayang Nagkakaisa ang Sandigan”.

More than 270 Irrigators Associations (IA) Presidents convened at the event, coming from Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte.

NIA Region XI Regional Manager Engr. Jimmy L. Apostol delivers his welcome address, highlighting that the Regional Confederation of Irrigators Association is the body that represents the farmer-beneficiaries of NIA Region XI whose role is to stick on behalf of the farmers on common issues affecting production and livelihood.

In a welcome address, NIA XI Regional Manager Engr. Jimmy L. Apostol said he was pleased that the 11th NIA-IA Forum has finally resumed after being postponed for the past two years. It is a great opportunity for the IA leaders to convey the issues faced by the farmers.

The Guest of Honor and Key Note Speaker was NIA Administrator Benny D. Antiporda who joined the event virtually via Google Meet.
