Deputy Administrator C’zar M. Sulaik arrived March 15, 2022 at the Regional Office XI for a coordination meeting. Regional Manager Jimmy L. Apostol listened closely as the Deputy Administrator addressed some concerns during the face-to-face gathering.

The National Irrigation Administration XI through the Davao Oriental Irrigation Management Office (IMO) turns over the Luzon Small Irrigation Project (SIP) to the farmers of Brgy. Luzon in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on Fenruary 16, 2022.
The Php22.5Million project, which is now a fully functioning system, involved the construction of irrigation facilities that will serve 50 hectares of farms with 33 farmer-beneficiaries under the Luzon Rice Farmers Irrigators Association (LURFIA) Inc.

NIA Region XI sealed two contracts right before 2021 drew to a close. Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Secretariat facilitated the contract signing for the FORMULATION OF IRRIGATION WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN (IWRMP), one for Padada RIS in Hagonoy and Digos, Davao del Sur, and for Mal RIS in Hagonoy and Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, on December 9, 2021 at the MTC, NIA XI, Bolton Street, Davao City.

New Cortez, New Corella - The Matin-ao New Cortez Farmer Irrigators Association (MANECOFIA), Inc. received the newly completed Upper New Cortez SIP in a ceremonial turnover on November 18, 2021.
Now a functioning system, it will serve an additional 28 hectares of service area in New Cortez, New Corella, Davao del Norte which is a source of livelihood to 58 farmers.
